Olivier Patey, the master of the Royal Ballet of Flanders and artistic director of Mossa Ballet School in Liège, has been conducting classical ballet master classes throughout the week at the Tbilisi Opera and Ballet State Theatre during his visit to Georgia.
The Embassy of France said Patey was “actively” involved in the rehearsals of the classic ballet La Bayadère by the French choreographer Marius Petipa, which premiered on Tuesday with the performances scheduled to run on Saturday and Sunday.
Shéraz Gasri, the French Ambassador to Georgia, together with Patey and Nina Ananiashvili, famous Georgian ballet dancer and director of the State Ballet of Georgia, on Thursday, attended the performance highlighting France's support for Georgian ballet.
