Georgia’s winter destination Gudauri will host the 2024 FIS Snowboard Cross World Cup for the first time in February, the Mountain Trails Agency revealed on Thursday.
Scheduled to start on December 2 in France, the event will arrive in Gudauri between February 3-4, while the competition also visits Italy, Switzerland, Turkey, Canada, Spain and Austria.
Gudauri and the resort of Bakuriani were marked as permanent hosts of the competition calendar in January, enabling the destinations to host stages of World Cup events running under the international governing body annually.
Bakuriani will host competitions for mogul, dual mogul and ski cross disciplines, while Gudauri will be the destination for snowboard cross events.
