Tbilisi Mayor Kakha Kaladze on Wednesday said his office would introduce 160 new buses for the Georgian capital, with the fleet expected to begin running in the city starting in April 2024.
Tbilisi City Hall cited Kaladze as confirming the introduction of the new 18-metre-long buses to the city in stages.
In the first phase, 50 buses will be introduced by April 1, 2024, and the remaining number of buses [will state operating] by the end of 2024”, Kaladze said at today’s City Hall meeting.
He added the new buses would have a capacity of 162 passengers, would be adapted to people with disabilities, and have spaces for strollers.
