Bilateral relations between Georgia and Japan were discussed on Friday in a farewell meeting between the Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili and Akira Imamura, the outgoing Ambassador of Japan.
The officials reviewed the ties between the two countries and prospects of cooperation, the Georgian Government Administration said.
Advancement of bilateral relations in a political, economic, cultural, educational and other fields was also noted.
Garibashvili extended his gratitude to Imamura for his efforts throughout his diplomatic career in Georgia, along with the willingness of the Georgian Government to further deepen the ties.
