Georgia’s export promotion agency Enterprise Georgia promoted “advantages” of the country’s business climate with prospective investors at the Annual Investment Meeting in Abu Dhabi last week, Director Mikheil Khidureli has said.
Meeting potential investors in energy, agriculture, production, hotels and real estate, the agency sat down with about 20 companies from Persian Gulf countries, Khidureli noted in his summary of the involvement in the event.
The meetings were held as Georgia was represented at the annual event with a stand where visitors learned about the investment, business and economic environment of the country.

“With Georgia's stand at the largest investment exhibition of the United Arab Emirates, we once again emphasised the advantages that the country has”, he said while highlighting benefits of investing in Georgia.

“[They include] the ease of doing business, low taxes, low bureaucracy, more flexibility and, most importantly, increased role of the country in logistics”, Khidureli said in reference to the increased interest in logistics routes between Central Asia and Europe that bypass Russia, in the wake of its war in Ukraine.
The Enterprise Georgia Director added his body was “actively working” to further develop investment relations with the United Arab Emirates, and noted the deal reached with the
UAE-based renewable energy company Masdar for building a 100 MW capacity solar power plant in Georgia.
