Georgian foreign minister Ilia Darchiashvili and parliament speaker Shalva Papuashvili on Sunday extended their condolences to the families of the victims of a deadly crowd crush in South Korea's capital Seoul on Saturday.
In his tweet, Darchiashvili said he was “deeply saddened” by the “terrible events” and stressed Georgia stood with South Korea “at this difficult time”.

In his turn, Papuashvili expressed his “solidarity” to the Korean people “in this time of grief” and wished a “smooth” recovery to the injured.

On Saturday night an estimated 100,000 people gathered in Seoul’s nightlife district Itaewon to celebrate Halloween, as media reported there has been no known cause of the crowd crash that killed at least 153.
