The joint Delegation of Canada to NATO on Friday said the country “strongly supported” Georgia’s Euro-Atlantic integration, including eventual membership in NATO.
The Canadian delegation congratulated Georgia on Independence Day, which was marked on Thursday, stressing the country was “one of the closest” partners of the alliance.

“Happy (belated) Independence Day to one of NATO's closest partners! Canada strongly supports Georgia's reform efforts and goal of Euro-Atlantic integration, including eventual membership in NATO,” the statement said.
