The Japan International Cooperation Agency has provided modern medical equipment worth $1.8 million to the Tbilisi Republican Hospital, the Ministry of Health announced on Thursday.

Zurab Azarashvili, the Georgian Health Minister, thanked the Government of Japan for the provision of the hardware, which he said would help the hospital to “significantly expand” its services and offer “even higher quality” medical services to its patients.
The JICA and the Ministry of Health of Georgia signed a cooperation agreement in 2021.
