Seven Georgian public schools have joined the Council of Europe Democratic Schools Network, reports the Ministry of Education, Science Culture, and Sports.

Public schools in Chkhorotsku, Khoni, Akhaldaba, Sairkhi, Khashuri and two schools in Poti have been included on the list of ‘democratic schools’ of the CoE.

The Democratic Schools Network (DSN) is the CoE international network of schools which upholds values like human rights, democracy and the rule of law.

Prevention of bullying, fighting against propaganda, disinformation, fake news, and propaganda, and improving school well-being are the core values that unite member schools of the DSN.

By joining the network, the Georgian schools will be able to create school websites on the Council of Europe Democratic Schools Network, participate in international conferences and competitions, finance small projects and to have educational-professional connections with other schools.
