Gov’t to give additional time to vendors to use cash registers

The Georgian government is expected to postpone the date of obligatory use of cash registers at open markets, considering the economic complications created by the coronavirus pandemic. 

The vendors had had an obligation to use cash registers starting January 1,2022. 

However, in accordance with amendments planned in the country’s tax code, the date will be postponed for one year.
