Turkish citizen detained for illegal possession of 2kg cocaine at Tbilisi int’l airport

Police have detained a Turkish citizen for the illegal purchase and possession of over 2kg of cocaine at Tbilisi International Airport earlier today.

The individual, identified only as A.G. and born in 1979, kept the drugs in his travel bag, which he had allegedly bought in Brazil.

The crime is punishable by eight to 20 years in prison.
