Exports of tangerines up 22% in last six months

Exports of tangerines have increased 22% year-on-year in the last six months and amounted to 35,400 tonnes, bringing in $17.3 million which is a 16% increase compared to the same period of the previous year.

Tangerines were exported mostly to:

Russia – 20,500 tonnes
Armenia – 7,600 tonnes
Ukraine – 5,300 tonnes

Georgian tangerines were also exported to Moldova, Turkmenistan, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Lithuania, Slovenia, Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan, Azerbaijan, the USA and Germany.

2019-2020 orange harvest: Georgia exports 31 thousand tonnes of tangerines in Sep-Jan

The tangerines harvest season has just ended in Georgia and 31 thousand tonnes out of 50 thousand tonnes of tangerines have already been exported from the country in September-January of 2019-2020, announces the Ministry of Agriculture.

Exports of tangerines have increased by 34% in the last four months and amounted to 31,900 tonnes, bringing in $15.7 million, which is a 37% increase compared to the same period of the previous year, the Georgian Ministry of Agriculture and Environmental Protection reports.
