A Georgian Heritage School has been opened in San Francisco with the support of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Georgia and the Consulate General of Georgia.
Addressing representatives of the Georgian diaspora at an inauguration ceremony for the school, the Consul General of Georgia in San Francisco Levan Beridze noted that the Georgian Diaspora has an important role in the development of Georgia and presenting a positive image of the country.

Beridze also mentioned that relations with the Georgian Diaspora is one of the main activities of the Georgian government and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Representatives of the Georgian community and the school students were provided with Georgian language textbooks.
Founder of the Georgian Heritage Fund and the School Liana Nitsetskaia will lead the school which currently has 40 students.
