The French Ministry of Armed Forces will donate equipment worth 1 million GEL to Sachkhere Mountain Training School located in the western part of Georgia, reports the Ministry of Defense of Georgia.
The document was signed today by Danny Pith, the Defense Attache Lieutenant-Colonel of France and Ioseb Nikoleishvili, Head of the Strategic Planning Department of the Georgian Defense Forces.
The High Mountain Group Leader Course, involving Georgian and French servicemen, has ended today at the Sachkhere Mountain Training School. Georgian Defence Minister Irakli Garibashvili and French Ambassador to Georgia Diego Colas have attended the closing ceremony.

Garibashvili congratulated the Georgian and French servicemen on the successful completion of the course and thanked the French side for its support in the development of the school.
Garibashvili noted that the school is a symbol of Georgian-French friendship and successful military cooperation.
The High Mountain Group Leader Course was an unprecedented training for the Georgian and French servicemen, as it was conducted for the first time under the leadership of the Georgian side and also, for the first time in the history of French mining military, French servicemen were trained in another country”, said Garibashvili
In 2010, within the framework of NATO-Georgia cooperation, Sachkhere Mountain Training School was qualified as a Partnership for Peace Training and Education Centre.
The school is located near the town of Sachkhere in the west of the country.
