Georgian PM meets with global leaders, int’l companies at second day at Davos World Economic Forum

Georgian Prime Minister Giorgi Gakharia is in Davos, Switzerland, participating in the World Economic Forum taking place from January 21-24.
This year the main topic of the World Economic Forum, which is celebrating its 50th anniversary this year, is climate change.
On the second day of the forum, Gakharia met with CEO of British global communications company, OneWeb Adrian Steckel.

OneWeb expressed interest in arranging a special station for satellite network services in Georgia that will cover the region.
The company positively assessed the investment environment and strategic location of the country which help Georgia to be regional hub.
On January 22 Gakharia also met with Coca-Cola Vice President Michael Goltzman who expressed interest to invest in Georgia.

Coca-Cola is interested in expanding production in the region and continues to invest in Georgia,” said Goltzman.
Gakharia met with President of Latvia Egils Levits who expressed willingness to support Georgia to solve the challenges related to the occupation.

The sides discussed relations between the two countries and future cooperation between Latvia and Georgia.

Gakharia has met with Croatian Prime Minister Andrej Plenkovic and discussed cooperation between Georgia and Croatia in the process of European integration.

Croatian Prime Minister Plenkovic has expressed his support for Georgia's territorial integrity and sovereignty.

The sides also discussed economic relations between the countries.
Gakharia met with Slovenian Prime Minister Marjan Sarec and spoke about the situation in the occupied territories of Georgia.
Gakharia thanked Sarec for his support for Georgia's territorial integrity and sovereignty.
The sides also spoke about the plans for Eastern Partnership Summit which will take place in Brussels, Belgium in June this year.

The Georgian and Slovenian Prime Ministers have discussed tourism cooperation and opportunities in this field between these countries. They also discussed economic relations and expressed willingness to further develop trade relations and strengthen Georgian-Slovenian business contacts.

The sides discussed strategic partnership between Georgia and Azerbaijan and important regional transport and energy projects.
Gakharia and Aliyev expressed willingness to deepen cooperation in the future.
