Georgian PM meets with global leaders, int’l companies at second day at Davos World Economic Forum

Georgian Prime Minister Giorgi Gakharia is in Davos, Switzerland, participating in the World Economic Forum taking place from January 21-24.

This year the main topic of the World Economic Forum, which is celebrating its 50th anniversary this year, is climate change.

On the second day of the forum, Gakharia met with CEO of British global communications company, OneWeb Adrian Steckel.

OneWeb expressed interest in arranging a special station for satellite network services in Georgia that will cover the region.

The company positively assessed the investment environment and strategic location of the country which help Georgia to be regional hub.

On January 22 Gakharia also met with Coca-Cola Vice President Michael Goltzman who expressed interest to invest in Georgia.

Coca-Cola is interested in expanding production in the region and continues to invest in Georgia,” said Goltzman.

Gakharia met with President of Latvia Egils Levits who expressed willingness to support Georgia to solve the challenges related to the occupation.

The sides discussed relations between the two countries and future cooperation between Latvia and Georgia.
