Foreign citizen detained for murdering policeman in Gori, Georgia

A foreign citizen has been detained for murdering a policeman in Gori, a town of eastern Georgia.

Police say the detainee injured the policeman in the latter’s apartment, which he had been renting. He fled the scene of the crime.

The Ministry of Internal Affairs reports that the offender fled the scene of the crime.

The wounded policeman died before he was transferred to hospital.

Police detained the offender several hours later with the knife used to commit the crime.
