Georgian Health Minister Ekaterine Tikaradze has a new assistant, Robot Pepper.
When presenting a report on the activities of the year Tikaradze introduced Robot Pepper to the audience as her 'new assistant' that will help the ministry in the fight against the coronavirus.
During the speech, the Minister presented Robot Pepper to the audience. Pepper greeted the participants in Georgian.
My assistant, Pepper, who arrived from France yesterday, is now learning Georgian and will help us defeat Covid-19 in the future. This is one of the newest words in telemedicine. We will get acquainted with Pepper’s abilities a bit later, at the telemedicine stand”, Tikaradze said.
Tikaradze summed up the results of the ministry’s annual activities today.

As of June 21, 137 individuals remain infected with the coronavirus in Georgia since the country confirmed its first COVID-19 cases in late February. With eleven new cases of the virus confirmed over the weekend, the total number of cases has increased to 906. Meanwhile, with 14 recoveries today and yesterday the number of recovered individuals stands at 755.
Georgia has reported just two new cases of the coronavirus earlier today, bringing the total number of cases to 908. 761 of the 908 patients have recovered, while 14 others have died. As of today 133 remain infected with COVID-19.Georgia continues to maintain a low infection rate. Many of the cases reported over the past several days were imported. Several of the new patients were truck drivers and the medical personnel.
