One Georgian citizen has died in Athens while robbing a flat, the Georgian Foreign Ministry has confirmed.
The ministry reports that the incident took place on December 31.
According to the information we received from Greece two citizens of Georgia were robbing a flat and neighbours called the police. One of the individuals tried to break a glass door and died due to the injuries he received in the process. Another Georgian citizen was detained by Greek police,” the ministry said.
The ministry is involved in transporting the body of the deceased Georgian citizen.
Procedures for the transportation has been launched.
