‘Mountain Wolf’ competition among mechanic operators held in Gudauri

Georgian mountain resort Gudauri hosted a snow rammer competition titled ‘Mountain Wolf - 2019’ on April 7.

Mechanic operators from the Gudauri, Bakuriani, Goderdzi and Mestia skiing resorts were the rivals. They were to carry out the tasks of various difficulty in a certain period of time.

The competition winners are:
- 1st place - Zura Burduli – Gudauri resort
- 2nd place – Temur Jaghmaidze - Gudauri resort
- 3rd place – Vasil Arbolishvili – Bakuriani resort
From now on the competition will be conducted annually, at different mountain resorts.
Georgia’s mountain resort of Gudauri has hosted a ski competition involving the diplomatic corps accredited in the country. DipSki2019 has been organised by Foreign Ministry with support of the Mountain Resorts Development Company for the third consecutive year now.
Georgian snowboarder Jaba Skhvediani took the fifth place at the International Ski Federation’s (FIS) competition in the Russian city of Sochi.
Skiers from across Europe were on slopes of Kudebi in Gudauri, Georgia’s major winter destination, in a display of skill and talent for an International Ski Federation-sanctioned ski cross race.
If you visit Georgia’s winter resort of Gudauri, chances are you will be sharing slopes with a teenage athlete already boasting the title of a national champion in freestyle.
