Georgia and Tajikistan have signed a memorandum of understanding on air traffic, announces the Georgian Civil Aviation Agency.
The memorandum regulates technical issues related to the launch of direct flights before the intergovernmental bilateral agreement on air traffic is signed, explained the aviation agency.
A delegation from Tajikistan visited Georgia this week and met authorities from the Ministry of Economy of Georgia to conclude the deal.
The memorandum between Georgia and Tajikistan will set a legal basis between the two countries to perform direct flights, which in turn will promote tourism development and trade-economic cooperation.
