Georgian MP Zviad Kvachantiradze has left the ruling Georgian Dream party and its faction in parliament.

The parliamentary faction Chairperson Mamuka Mdinaradze said the faction members were notified by Kvachantiradze on his decision to leave the faction.

Mdinaradze said Kvachantiradze will be dismissed as the Head of Diaspora and Caucasus Issues Committee.

The MP himself said he is joining the small number of his friends who did the same a while ago as the ongoing 'court-related' row led him to resign.
