Georgian President Salome Zurabishvili has proposed putting Georgian tolerance on the UNESCO intangible cultural heritage list at a meeting with UNESCO Secretary General Audrey Azoulay yesterday.
President Zurabishvili stated that the Georgian nation’s identity is shown in tolerance as the Georgian people have lived in peace with those of different origins and confessions for centuries.

The Georgian president said tolerance is what the world is most deprived of and Georgia should play the part of a role model in this respect.
The conversation with Azoulay also referred to deepening cooperation in education, science and culture fields, protection of cultural monuments in occupied territories and the importance and availability of women’s and girl’s education.
