Georgian President Salome Zurabishvili will visit France on 17-19 February and meet with French President Emmanuel Macron in Paris, the president’s press office has reported.
Zurabishvili, who was born in France, will also meet with UNESCO Secretary General and the President of the French Senate.
The president will meet with Georgian students and the members of diaspora,” the press office says.
Zurabishvili visited Brussels on her first official trip abroad last month.
She is the fifth president of Georgia, elected to the post for six years.

NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg has stated that he will visit Georgia, which is a “unique partner of NATO”, in March 2019, during the NATO-Georgia joint military drills, in which 17 NATO member states will participate.
After taking the presidential oath in the historic castle of Telavi Salome Zurabishvili has been sworn in as the fifth and first ever female president of Georgia.
Zurabishvili will head to Germany from France, where she is scheduled to meet with her French counterpart.
French-born Georgian President Salome Zurabishvili, who is visiting France on her second foreign trip, has visited the Georgian estate in Leuville, where the members of the First Democratic Republic of Georgia lived in exile.
Georgian President Salome Zurabishvili has voiced several programmes which aim to boost the engagement of Georgian emigrants in the country’s everyday life and help them retain close ties with their native country.
Georgian President Salome Zurabishvili has stated in France that Georgia will continue knocking on Europe’s door, as she knows that knocking on the door for a long time means that it will definitely open. She stated that once she taught the history of the EU and knows that every big challenge makes Europe stronger.
The presidents of Georgia and France have held a meeting at Elysee Palace and signed a document on furthering French-Georgian cooperation. The parties discussed the improvement of Georgia-France bilateral relationships and increasing French support for Georgia in international organizations.
The visit aims to advance Georgia-Lithuania bilateral relations, strengthen support for Georgia’s European and Euro-Atlantic integration process, and mobilise Georgia’s partners to achieve this goal, the president’s administration says.
Georgian President Salome Zurabishvili will pay an official visit to Poland on May 7-8. She will hold meetings with the Polish President Andrzej Duda, Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki, as well as the Speakers of the Senate and Sejm, Stanisław Karczewski and Marek Kuchcinski.
