Georgian tenor Otar Jorjikia has shared his excitement about his "most emotional" debut at the famed Teatro Alla Scala venue after the Georgian stepped in for his fellow performer Francesco Meli in the Puccini classic 'Tosca'.
Jorjikia was the go-to choice of the legendary opera house for the role of Cavaradossi in a Davide Livermore production that opened earlier this month and will run through January 8.
The Georgian made his debut on Monday as the venue welcomed stars including Anna Netrebko and Luca Salsi to its stage for the staging.
