Georgia’s oldest mathematical Komarovi School to have a branch in Batumi in 2020

Georgia’s oldest mathematics teaching institution, the Komarovi School will have a new branch in Georgia’s Black Sea town of Batumi in 2020, reports the Ministry of Education.
Construction of the Education and Science City has begun today. The Komarovi School is one of the components of this project. We will invite our famous scientists here to meet the students and I hope that they will be very interested in science and creative thinking… Such education and science cities will be built in other regions of Georgia as well”, Georgia’s Minister of Education Mikheil Chkhenkeli announced today.
The Ministry of Education together with the Government of Adjara will implement the project.
The cost of the Education and Science City project is GEL 11, 399, 994 ($3,979,472).
The school will have a residential campus that can accommodate 100 students, says the Ministry of Education.
The Komarovi School branch will be accommodated with computer labs, libraries, conference halls and playgrounds.
The concept of Batumi City of Education and Science also envisages the construction of a vocational school, multifunctional centre and school of art near the Komarovi School.
Another branch of the Komarovi School is being built in Tbilisi and will be finished by September of 2020, the Ministry of Education reports.
The modern building, designed for 350 students, will be adopted for disabled persons.
