Georgia has bought 30 modern emergency fire engines from German Magirus Company, taking steps to fully replace outdated Russian-made vehicles, the Georgian Emergency Management Service reports.
The fire engines are fitted to the Georgian natural environment. The engines have already undergone technical inspection in Germany and will enter Georgia by the end of the year,” head of the Georgian Emergency Management Service Teimuraz Mgebrishvili stated earlier today while visiting the Magirus Office to attend the testing of the fire engines.

The fire engines are fitted with a high and low pressure pump, have a 4.5 tonne water tank and a 300 liter foam tank. All necessary fire-rescue equipment is installed in the vehicles.
The engines are fully automated, though can be manually operated if needed.
