American master of wine, head of the National Wine Agency contractor American company Tastingwork, Lisa Granik, has written a book “The Wines of Georgia”, which is already available for internet users.

In her 336-page book, Lisa Granik writes about Georgia’s 8,000-year history and culture of viticulture and winemaking and it’s potential.

The famous wine professional visited Georgia with US sommeliers to explore the country’s rich wine history and culture in the regions of Kartli and Kakheti in 2018 and put all the information in her new book.

During the visit Granik met about 20 wine producing companies and wine cellars.

Lisa Granik explains not only winemaking methods and viticulture but also the centrality of wine to Georgian culture generally, describing the supra tradition.

“I know that Georgia is now trying to understand where its history is. I don’t mean the history of the past hundred years, I mean thousands of years, in terms of geological history, culture and wine-making traditions”, says the author of “The Wines of Georgia”.

The electronic version of the book is available on the website of the Classic Wine Library, which contains books written by world experts on wine and spirits.
