Patients within the primary healthcare will get innovative medicine services through telemedicine equipment (artificial intelligence) starting next year, the Georgian Health Ministry states.

At the first stage the Georgian Health Ministry will introduce telemedicine devices at 25 different areas of Georgia.

One of the most important opportunities of telemedicine is remote communication based on artificial intelligence. With a special video call doctor can consult and diagnose patients. According to the international data, the use of telemedicine reduces the number of hospital cases by 30% and costs. Digital health care is important not only for the patients, but also for the state, which is given the opportunity to define health policy and strategy based on constantly updated data and statistics”, the ministry reports.

Digital Diagnostic Centre is an equipment with artificial intelligence. It can be used to conduct high quality diagnostic services such as blood examination, cardiovascular risk assessment, diabetes screening. It is often a time-saving way for a consumer to see and speak to a clinician for minor and non-urgent medical needs instead of going to a primary care physician’s office or emergency department.
