Soldiers surprise the kids of Georgian peacekeepers spending the first day together in school

Children of Georgian peacekeepers participating in international missions were taken in first class by the friends of their fathers.

Father’s friends congratulated kids on moving to a new stage of life and gave them symbolic gifts from the Defense Minister Irakli Garibashvili.

Georgia is the largest non-Nato contributor to international peacekeeping mission (Resolute Support) in Afghanistan.

  The Resolute Support mission was a follow-on task from the International Security Assistance Force (ISAF) mission, to which Georgia contributes about 750 troops.

   Thirty two Georgian soldiers have been killed in service and more than 432 have received injuries while serving in Afghanistan.
