Georgian Prime Minister Mamuka Bakhtadze and Foreign Minister David Zalkaliani are saddened by Saturday’s shooting at an El Paso shopping centre in Texas.
PM Bakhtadze wrote on his Twitter page that Georgia "stands in solidarity with American people".

FM Zalkaliani said the mass shooting in El Paso was a “brutal act of violence”.

Five people, including a minor and a driver, have died in a car accident that occurred yesterday on the road leading to Georgia's iconic mountainous region of Tusheti. Three people have been saved and delivered to hospital, while two are still missing.
Georgian Prime Minister Giorgi Kvirikashvili expressed his sadness over the Iranian plane crash that killed all 66 people on board today. Sixty passengers, two security guards, two flight attendants and the pilot and co-pilot were on board.
Vietnam veteran and six-term US senator John McCain, the initiator of several resolutions in the US Congress to support Georgia, was a close friend of the country, especially during the Russia-Georgia war of 2008 when he said: “Today we are all Georgians”.
