President of the European Council Donald Tusk has met with the founder and the head of the Georgian Dream ruling party Bidzina Ivanishvili and said that it was a “very interesting and inspiring meeting.”

After the meeting I feel that Georgia has a very good and a promising future,” the Georgian Dream party press office cited Tusk as saying.

Tusk added that everything is possible via cooperation and dialogue.

Ivanishvili recalled his first meeting with Tusk, “when I was an inexperienced politician,” and said that since “the warm meeting” he has had excellent relations with Tusk.

He [Tusk] loves Georgia and the Georgian people. His citing the words of Georgian Poet Vacha Pshavela today was particularly emotional,” Ivanishvili said, adding that the conference with top delegations from various countries “has proven once again Georgia is on the right path.”

The 16th International Batumi Conference, dedicated to the 10th anniversary of the Eastern Partnership, opened earlier today.
