Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Gregory Karasin says that Russian tourists face no threats for now in Georgia.
However, irresponsible statements might cause threats,” Ria Novosti cited Karasin as saying, responding to the rallies in Tbilisi which were sparked after a Russian MP took the seat of the Georgian parliamentary speaker on June 20, during the Interparliamentary Assembly on Orthodoxy.

Karasin said that he did not know when Russia will remove the ban on direct flights to Georgia, imposed shortly after Russian MPs were forced to leave Georgia.
We never raise preconditions. It is dependent on developments [in Tbilisi],” Karasin said.
Protesters in Tbilisi say that the format of rallies has changed.
