A Georgian Public Broadcaster news crew was left scrambling for their camera after the equipment got stolen on site of the Lilo City trade centre in Tbilisi on Friday.

As the reporters worked on the ground to cover the severe fire that broke out in the trading area on Thursday night, their camera disappeared from site.

The journalists were left without the principal equipment before police located and arrested a suspect on the trade centre grounds, on.ge news website reported.

The location was a setting of frantic activity over the night as more than 70 firefighters and 14 fire engines gathered to extinguish the fire that erupted suddenly.

A total of 1,000 square metres were affected but no casualties were reported by the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia.
