Ukrainian SkyUp Airlines launches Odessa, Kharkiv flights to Kutaisi

The Ukrainian law-cost SkyUp Airlines has made its inaugural flight from the city of Kharkiv to Kutaisi in Georgia’s west.
SkyUp Airlines will be carrying out regular flights from the Ukrainian cities of Kharkiv and Odessa to Kutaisi International Airport twice a week on Tuesdays and Fridays by a Boeing 737-800.

SkyUp was founded in 2016.
It first appeared on the Georgian market in summer 2018 with direct flights from Batumi International Airport.
Later the company also launched flights from Tbilisi International Airport.
The French flag carrier Air France has made its inaugural flight from the French capital of Paris today, with Georgian President Salome Zurabishvili being among its first passengers. Air France will be carrying out regular flights between Paris and Tbilisi twice a week until 23 October with an Airbus A 320.
Local airline company Georgian Airways is getting ready for this year’s summer aviation season, increasing flight frequency to European destinations, announces Georgian Civil Aviation Agency.
Starting 1 August, Kutaisi International Airport will introduce six new European destinations, announces Georgian Prime Minister Mamuka Bakhtadze. Eindhoven (Netherlands), Bari (Italy), Copenhagen (Denmark), Basel (Switzerland), Tallinn (Estonia) and Brussels (Belgium) are the new destinations where travellers from Georgia can arrive at an affordable price starting in August.
The Uzbek flag carrier will soon connect the capital cities of Uzbekistan and Georgia with new seasonal flights.
