“I believe Georgia will become a regional leader in providing medical services,” Prime Minister of Georgia Mamuka Bakhtadze said at Tbilisi State Medical University where regional representation of International Association for Medical Education (AMEE) has opened.
PM Bakhtadze stated Georgia is becoming an international centre of medical education, which is an important step for its European integration.
Tbilisi State Medical University will be the third AMEE regional centre which will also cover the south-east part of Europe,” Bakhtadze said.
Prime Minister Mamuka Bakhtadze noted Georgia can offer a wide range of medical services worth two billion adding medical education is a very important tradition and focus on future for the Georgian nation.
The AMEE international cooperation centre in Georgia will be mainly aimed at sharing modern education methodologies, conducting trainings for academic and administrative staff of regional medical institutions, medical education experts and others.
