The Ministry of Economy of Georgia will work with investors on the ‘single window’ system, announced Georgian Prime Minister Mamuka Bakhtadze today.

For this reason, a new post of deputy minister will be created that will be responsible for relations with investors.

Bakhtadze explained that the Ministry of Economy will serve investors following the ‘single window’ principle while the deputy minister will be responsible for relations with investors not only before the investments are implemented, but after it as well.

Only the Ministry of Economy will be responsible for cooperating with investors. At the same time an important focus will be made on free trade relations with the European Union and selecting the priority and prospective goods for the EU market. We will be more oriented on this issue in order to increase trade turnover with the EU”, said Bakhtadze.

Bakhtadze said that the government was working on a ‘single window’ system for several months and said that this will be an important change in relations with the investors.
