Occupying forces have released Georgian citizen Gocha Pidiuri from Tskhinvali who was arrested on April 20 for “illegally crossing the border”.
The man was abducted near the village of Mejvriskhevi which is located in the vicinity of the occupation line.
The released Georgian citizen was transported to the village of Ergneti controlled by Georgia. Afterwards he was questioned at the police department.
Occupying forces have detained 327 Georgian citizens for “illegally crossing the border” between 2017 and 2019 in the two Russia-controlled Georgian regions of Abkhazia and Tskhinvali (South Ossetia).
