Prime Minister Mamuka Bakhtadze met with the Jordanian Senate President Faisal Al-Fayez today. The two leaders spoke of enhancing bilateral cooperation between their countries.
Bakhtadze and Al-Fayez mainly focused on investment projects, trade relations and tourism cooperation between Georgia and Jordan during their meeting, PM’s press office said.
Georgia’s ongoing reforms and the country's recognition by the influential international institutions as “the best reformer country” were also emphasised.
Bakhtadze and Al-Fayez also spoke of the regional challenges, the situation in the Russian occupied regions of Abkhazia and Tskhinvali (South Ossetia) and the Georgian Government's peace initiatives.
PM Bakhtadze invited the King of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan to Georgia, which he believes would be yet another milestone in the two countries’ bilateral cooperation.
