Georgian Prime Minister Mamuka Bakhtadze and Cyprus President Nicos Anastasiades have discussed possibilities for circular migration and agreed to take steps to provide benefits for migrant workers during the historic visit of the President of Cyprus in Georgia.
Circular migration is a repetitive or a temporary movement of a migrant worker between the homeland and a host country for employment purposes.
Further strengthening of people-to-people relations, tourism and economic relations were top issues of the meeting,” the Prime Minister’s press office reported.
Bakhtadze said that the Georgian people is grateful for the support of the government of Cyprus for Georgia’s sovereignty and territorial integrity.
Anastasiades has also met with the Georgian President earlier today.
President of Cyprus Nicos Anastasiades has arrived in Tbilisi today on a historic visit to Georgia. This is the first time that the president of Cyprus is visiting the country. President Anastasiades will meet with his Georgian counterpart Salome Zurabishvili tomorrow.

Georgian President Salome Zurabishvili has paid her first official visit to Cyprus on November 9 in the capacity. President Zurabishvili and President of Cyprus Nicos Anastasiadis held a face-to-face meeting, during which diplomatic relations of both countries were discussed.
