Georgia’s Economy Minister joins Annual Investment Meeting in Dubai

Georgia’s Economy Minister Dimitry Kumsishvili is participating at the eight edition of the Annual Investment Meeting being held in Dubai from April 9-11.

This year the edition’s theme is ‘Linking Developed and Emerging Markets through FDI: Partnerships for Inclusive Growth & Sustainable Development’.

Kumsishvili delivered a speech at the conference where he talked about Georgia’s recent successes in international ratings, which in his words confirm that in fact, there are no obstacles for business in Georgia.

The minister also accented the recently implemented as well as planned reforms that would further improve the business climate in Georgia.

If you don’t have proper communication with the private sector … and if you don’t follow up with the private sector, you cannot be successful”, said Kumsishvili.
What we did in our country is we created the Investor’s Council [which includes many private-sector businesses and associations]. We have regular meetings quarterly and all business associations can put problems the private sector has on the table. I can advise such a platform to all governments as this platform is really very efficient”, he added.
