Georgia exported 17.7 million bottles of wine to 43 countries in the first quarter of 2018, announces the Georgian National Wine Agency.
In January-March of 2018 Georgia generated about $40.47 million from the sale of wine abroad.
Revenue increased by 26 percent from January-March 2018, while the volume of exports increased by 24 percent, said the Georgian National Wine Agency.
Export growth was notable in the following countries:
- Belarus – 429 percent (233,220 bottles)
- Japan – 230 percent increase (53,160 bottles)
- Great Britain – 98 percent increase (37,740 bottles)
- France – 71 percent increase (24,248 bottles)
- Kazakhstan – 85 percent increase (877,494 bottles)
The top five countries that imported the most bottles of Georgia wine in January-March 2018 were:
- Russia – 11,511,830 bottles
- Ukraine – 1,771,928 bottles
- China – 1,117,138 bottles
- Kazakhstan – 877,494 bottles
- Poland – 740,922 bottles
In the first quarter of 2018, 134 companies exported their wines abroad, said the Georgian National Wine Agency.
Meanwhile, Georgia exported 3.5 million bottles of Georgian brandy and 43,800 bottles of Chacha abroad in January-March 2018.
Georgia exported 10.8 million bottles of wine to 38 countries in January-February 2018, announces the Georgian National Wine Agency. During the first two months of 2018 Georgia generated about $24.3 million from the sale of wine abroad.

Georgia exported 76.7 million bottles of wine to 53 countries in 2017 – a record number of wine in the past 30 years, announces the Georgian National Wine Agency.

The export of Georgian agricultural products to the EU countries is on the rise, says the Ministry of Agriculture of Georgia. In the first quarter of 2018, Georgia exported agricultural goods worth $37.8 million.
Georgia exported 25 million bottles of wine to 43 countries in the first four months of 2018, announces the Georgian National Wine Agency. In January-April of 2018 Georgia generated about $59.2 million from the sale of wine abroad. In the reporting period 147 companies exported their wines abroad.
Fans of Georgian wine are welcome at Mtatsminda Park to taste the new harvest wines from large and medium companies, as well as from small wineries and family wine cellars from 11 am to 6 pm.

Georgia has exported 51.7 million bottles (0,75L) of wine to 52 countries during January-August, up by 16 percent y/y. However, Russia received the largest share of exports with more than 33 million bottles.
Georgia takes the 19th place among the world’s top 30 wine exporting countries in 2017, says the American Association of Wine Economists (AAWE), an educational organisation dedicated to encouraging economic research and analyses and exchanging ideas in wine economics.
Georgia exported about 6.25 million bottles of wine to 24 countries in January 2019, which is a 22% increase compared to the same month of 2018, announces the Georgian National Wine Agency.
Head of Georgia’s National Wine Agency Giorgi Samanishvili, Degustation Commission Head Ana Godabrelidze and Marketing Department Director Irakli Cholobargia attended the Berliner Wein Trophy 2018 as jury members.
Georgia received 16% more in revenue from the export of wine in the first nine months of 2019 in comparison to the same period last year, the Georgian National Wine Agency reports.
