Georgia hosts more than 10,000 foreign students

Georgia’s National Statistics Office states that 10,061 foreign students are receiving educations in the country’s institutions of higher learning.
The number is based on figures from 2017-2018.
The biggest portion of the students is from India. Their number reaches 4,000.
The most attractive faculty for foreign students in Georgia is the faculty of healthcare and social support, with 7,106 foreign students.
- Social sciences were applied by 2,186 foreign students.
- Science- by 271 students.
- Humanitarian sciences and art- by 192 students.
- Engineering and construction- by 183 foreign students.
2,049 more foreign students enrolled in Georgian universities and institutes in 2017-2018 than in 2016-2017.
Twenty of Georgia’s top academic students will be given the opportunity to earn a Masters degree at one of 320 French universities and tertiary institutions following a bilateral deal between Georgia and France.
