A new open data platform - Open Data Lab – was launched today in Georgia, enabling users to explore datasets on public policy issues in open formats.
The visitors of www.DataLab.ge will be allowed to find data, basic visualisation tools, and resources to analyse data, design data visualisations, conduct research, develop web and mobile applications.
This initiative empowers the general public, enables citizens to critically follow governments, check information and use it for the common cause. I hope this platform will be used by all generations, students and professionals alike”, said Ambassador of the Kingdom of Netherlands to Georgia, Johannes Douma, in his welcome speech at the presentation of the new open data platform www.DataLab.ge.
The platform was created and is run by the IDFI with the support of the International Visegrad Fund and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of the Netherlands. Photo from the IDFI's press office.
