Interior Ministry says 26 charged with election-related offences

The Georgian Interior Ministry has stated that 26 people in total have been charged with election-related offences, which took place on the 28 November presidential election day and afterwards.

Investigations were launched in 25 incidents. However, the investigation was later suspended in 13 cases due to an absence of evidence,” the ministry says.

The Interior Ministry reports that the individuals who have been charged are both supporters of the ruling Georgian Dream party and the opposition.
