Jan-Oct 2018: Passenger traffic up by 23% at Georgian airports

Georgia’s three international airports served 4,354,423 passengers in the last 10 months, which is a 23% increase in comparison to last year, says the United Airports of Georgia.

The number of passengers who took regular or charter flights in Georgia increased in all three main airports of the country: Tbilisi Shota Rustaveli International Airport, Batumi International Airport and Kutaisi David Aghmashenebeli International Airport.

More specifically:

  • Tbilisi International Airport served 3,286,344 passengers - a 21% increase y/y
  • Kutaisi International Airport served 512,386 passengers – 42% increase
  • Batumi International Airport served 555,693 passengers – 19% increase

In the reporting period Georgia’s rural airports in Mestia and Ambrolauri together served 7,601 passengers in the first 10 months of 2018.
