The first Radisson Collection brand 5-star hotel has opened its doors on the historic Tsinandali Estate, in Georgia’s wine-making region of Kakheti.

The 142-room hotel features a conference and reception halls, a library, outdoor and indoor restaurants, a spa-center, swimming pool and a fitness club.

The project was carried out with the support of the state-owned shareholding company Partnership Fund and was co-financed by one of Georgia’s leading banks, TBC Bank.

The total value of the project was $35 million, of which $10 million was offered by the Partnership Fund.

“This exceptional location, along with a mix of old and modern architectural styles, make this gorgeous complex truly special and unique”, said Prime Minister of Georgia Mamuka Bakhtadze at the opening of the hotel today.

“It is no coincidence that the best traditions of Georgian culture continue here in Tsinandali, near the Chavchavadze Palace, where cultural life brimmed with activity as early as the 19th century. In addition, classical Georgian viniculture originated here on the Tsinandali Estate, and it is here that our winemaking traditions spanning 8,000 years continue today, with European viniculture also taking root”, he added.

"This unique place offers everything to make Tsinandali an attractive year-round destination for visitors and tourists. We especially prize the establishment of sites of this kind because they, among others, promote the development of family-run hotels in Georgia”, Bakhtadze said.
