United Airports of Georgia has reported that a security check on board of a Kutaisi-Warsaw plane that made an emergency landing in Bucharest has come to an end, proving the earlier bomb alert to be fake.
The Wizz Air plane emergency landed in Bucharest because of a bomb alert received by the Kutaisi airport today which was followed by the immediate evacuation of more than 170 passengers in Bucharest.
Currently the passengers are being seated on board the plane to complete the flight.
Georgian police has launched an investigation into the fake bomb alert. The individual who reported the bomb threat has been identified.
