Football academy opens in Rustavi, Georgia

A football academy has opened in the Georgian town of Rustavi to engage children, adolescents and youth in sports and promote football from early ages.

The academy covers six hectares of land, has two natural grass fields and two artificial turfs. 

It is currently hosting almost 60 children with full board of tuition and accommodation. 

Since its incorporation, the football academy will host trainings and retreats of teams in various age categories as well as friendly games.

The Prime Minister Mamuka Bakhtadze who officially opened the academy yesterday said that similar facilities are intended to be built in every region of the country in the future.
