Bahrain simplifies visa requirements for Georgian citizens

Georgia and Bahrain are easing visa requirements, supporting political-economic relations and boosting tourism ties, announces the Foreign Ministry of Georgia.
Georgian citizens are now able to travel to Bahrain with an electronic visa thanks to the decision made by the government of Bahrain on 4 October 2018.
The other option for Georgian citizens is to get a visa directly on the border of Bahrain.
Currently, negotiations are underway to further ease visa requirements for Georgian citizens who hold diplomatic passports or have business trip to Bahrain. The two countries are also considering abolishing visa requirements for this class of travellers.
From now on citizens of Georgia can travel visa free to Montenegro, the Georgian Foreign Ministry announced today.
Japan has decided to ease visa requirements for Georgian citizens to promote people to people connections and deepen relations between the two countries.
Within a year of the Georgia-EU visa free agreement, 192,453 Georgian citizens have visited the Schengen Zone 258,663 times, the Georgian Interior Ministry reports. Deputy Interior Minister Nino Javakhadze stated that in total 1,001 Georgians were refused entry into the EU passport-free zone.
Almost a year ago, visa-free travel regulations for Georgian citizens traveling to the European Union (EU) went into force. Welcoming the special anniversary at a government session this morning, Georgian Prime Minister Giorgi Kvirikashvili said this is one of the country’s greatest achievements.
