San Diego State University (SDSU) in Georgia, which offers American degrees in the country, will have a new campus by the end of the year.
The new building in central Tbilisi will be equipped with modern facilities, with electrical and civil engineering labs, classrooms, teaching and common areas.
The construction of the academic building started in August 2017 and is expected to be fully finished and equipped by the end of 2018.
The new campus is financed through the US MCC compact. Photo from the Education Ministry press office.
The four-floor building, on 4,000 square meters, will be located on Cholokashvili Avenue, in Vake, Tbilisi.
The new campus will be with Ilia State University.
For now SDSU cooperates with three Georgian universities: Tbilisi State University, Ilia State University and Georgia’s Technical University.
The new campus will be within the US Millennium Challenge Corporation’s (MCC) second compact.
